Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Dear Dahlia Paradise Shine Eye Sequins in the shade Goddess.
I got this eyeshadow because I’ve been bombarded with this AD for the past few months, look at it and tell me you don’t want it all over your eyes.
Apparently, Dear Dahlia is an Asian brand, I didn’t know more than that, but that stupid AD hit the spot for me and I wanted to see the truth especially because there weren’t good pictures online.
You can buy it here for 38,70$

COLOUR
Multi color glitter in a peachy base.
PACKAGING
The packaging is very elegant, from the marble box to the bottle, everything looks super fancy (as it should, with that price)
It has a flat doe foot applicator that I love, it picks up just the right amount of product.

FORMULA & APPLICATION
The formula is very sheer and the glitter is a bit sparse. Nothing at all like the AD claims it to be. I mean, it’s pretty but not as intense as I wished.
You get a bit of glitter fall down through the day. It’s not patchy at all and you can layer it to get a more opaque look.
The doe foot applicator allows an easy application and the shadow is easy to blend with the finger. You have time to move it around but once it sets, you won’t be able to move it.

LASTING POWER
I always have to wear an eye primer or my make-up won’t last a minute. Even with cream shadows but I feel like most people would want to use it without.
- WITHOUT Primer: This shadow lasted for 8 hours on me before starting to crease. I have extremely oily lids so I was pleasantly surprised.
- WITH Primer: This shadow was bulletproof. I had it on for 12 hours and it was still perfect.
RATINGS:
- Colour: 8/10
- Longevity: 7/10
- Application: 7/10
- Formula: 6/10
- Pigmentation: 5/10
- Packaging: 9/10
GRADE: B-
I don’t hate it, but I’m a bit upset, I was expecting so much more from looking at that AD. I mean, it’s pretty don’t get me wrong, but I like my glitters more blinding. This is a good shimmery eyeshadow but it’s not blinding enough for me. I had such high hopes. It last all day with just a bit of fall down and it’s not patchy but it’s expensive and in my opinion, not worth the price tag.

I really love the shine and glitter that this product adds. It’s subtle that you could wear for a casual look but bold enough for something more formal too.
Right? So pretty xo
I’ve seen that ad and would have been disappointed, too. Still pretty though. Love your in depth review!
Thank you 💕 yes it was a sad day for me
I can see why you were disappointed in it. The color in the container looks different! It’s still beautiful on you though!
It’s pretty but I was expecting more
The Dear Dahlia Paradise Shine Eye Sequins is a beautiful option for day to night drama in the eye category.
Agree x
It’s a nice shimmer but I feel it could be more pigmented it will be good for a subtle look.
I agree x
