Hi Darlings, in today’s post I’m going to share with you a Skincare Hack on How To Get Rid Of Oily Skin.
I’ve read this tip a few years ago and it’s not something I thought was my case but it helped me so much to contrast oily skin so maybe if you battle with it, it might help you too.
It’s a super simple thing anyone can do.

Get Rid Of Oily Skin – Hack
One of the reasons behind oily skin is dehydration. It sounds weird, I’m aware but hear me out. If you have oily skin you are probably using oil-free, oil-absorbing products and so on. Chances are that these products are drying your skin out, and you know what reaction your skin has?
IT PRODUCES MORE OIL to compensate, which leads to clogged pores and blemishes. What we want instead is non-greasy hydration and I guarantee that over time you’ll see the biggest improvement in your skin.
The Secret
The secret is a Hyaluronic Acid serum.
Simple enough, right? Hyaluronic Acid is fast absorbing and deeply hydrating. Like a glass of water for your skin. Personally, I’ve been using the The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 for years because it works and it’s inexpensive, but any hyaluronic acid serum will work.
I’ll leave you the list of some of my favourites:
Products Mentioned:
- The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
- Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum
- The INKEY List Hyaluronic Acid Serum
- Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum
- FARMACY Filling Good Hyaluronic Acid Plumping Serum
I really hope you guys enjoyed the post, don’t forget to like, comment and share to let me know what you think and if you have any questions.

Love,
I love using Hyaluronic Acid treatments for my skin to help with oil. I’ll definitely have to get these ones a try and see what I think!
Enjoy x
I needed this oily skin hack! My face always shows up so shiny in pictures that it’s embarrassing. Thanks so much for the tip!
It takes some times but it really helps
I need to do this. I hate when I get oily skin. I will be trying this serum for sure.
It will really help x
I currently use the filling good from farmacy, and I believe I bought the ordinary one too, i have to double check, but HA is definitely a staple in my skincare. I have combo skin, mainly an oily t-zone and even with hydrating products like HA, my skin has not gotten any better LOL. I also make sure to stay hydrated enough but that’s probably just my skin type. it may not work as well for my oily t-zone but it does make my skin feel smooth and hydrated enough during the cold months 🙂
Of course my skin still gets oily but I used to have severe breakouts too and now they are just gone so I feel like it worked in my case. It’s still good to even if the only benefit is hydrated skin 😂 the ordinary has been a staple for me since I launched this blog years ago
I keep hearing great things about Hyaluronic Acid. I definitely have to look into that more!
It’s quite affordable too
It’s crazy to think that oily skin is caused by dehydration, I had no idea! How eye opening.
It’s kind of shocking right? But it makes sense
