Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review of the CurrentBody LED Light Therapy Mask.
The post contains affiliate links. I was not compensated for this post, however, I did receive all the CurrentBody products free of charge in exchange for this review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
When the brand approached me about this review, I was immediately intrigued. I’ve been curious about light therapy for a while and this was the perfect opportunity for me to try it. Of course, we are talking about quite an investment so I wanted to give you my full detailed review to show you the benefits of this masks and how it works.
What Is The Currentbody LED Mask?
The Currentbody LED Mask is a soft silicone mask you put on your face for 10 minutes a day that will help you rejuvenate and tighten your skin. In the long run it can help you contrast the signs of aging.
How Does it work?
The Currentbody page does a fantastic job explaining the properties of LED light so I’m going to quote what they say:
As we age, the skin can become tired of replicating cells and collagen production is depleted. Envainrmental factors can also make us age such as sun exposure, smoking and diet. This light therapy device combines Red (633nm) and Near Infrared Light (830nm) wavelengths. The red LED light repairs your skin by regenerating the production of new cells which leads to the stimulation of the production of new collagen.
The Infrared light works by stimulating the ‘wound healing’ cells in the skin – causing new, fresh skin to form. Penetrating deep into the skin’s surface, it boosts circulation, improves blood flow, and increases oxygen to the skin’s cells. This is the wavelength which gives you that Hollywood Glow!”
HOW to use it?
To get the best results they recommend you to use it once a day. On clean, dry skin. You can use a serum to enhance the effects of the mask.
CurrentBody also sent me their The Power of Four Skincare Set which on their site describe like this:
The four different vials contain a potent mix of botanicals and hydrators that plump, firm, lift and tone the skin plus hold in moisture all day. Use the Daily Restoring Serum to start your mornings with a burst of rejuvenating caffeine. Follow with the Glow Serum for a bright, glistening complexion. And lock in moisture all day with the Hyaluronic Acid Serum or layer on the Green Tea Serum to amplify the effects of your LED mask treatment.”

I know this review is about the mask but I need to talk about these serums because they are sooo good.
To be honest, I’ve only used the Green Tea one and the Daily Restoring one but my skin has been loving them. I use a two-three drops of the Green Tea one before using the mask and the Daily Glow one after. The both make my skin feel very glowy and plumped.
Which results did you get?
Back to the mask, as I said, you have to use it once a day, here’s what I do:
- Cleanse my face
- Use a toner
- Apply two or three drops of the Green Tea Serum
- Put on the mask and turn it on for 10 minutes **
- Apply the Daily Restoring Serum
- Use your nighttime moisturizer
** The mask will turn off automatically once you reach the 10 minutes mask. There are goggles you can use if the light bothers you but it’s safe to use without them.
After about two weeks of use I’ve notices my pores are smaller and my skin is so much tighter, almost plumper. I haven’t noticed many results on my wrinkles but I don’t have many to begin with and I haven’t used it enough to see (only about 4 weeks).
Any cons?
I only have two. One, of course, is the price. It’s definitely an investment but the way I see it, it’s definitely more affordable than other cosmetic procedures you can get to prevent signs of aging.
The other con I have is not really a con, basically I find that 10 minutes a day it’s definitely a bit too much time for me but, it’s kind of forcing me to take that time to take care of myself. So a con that’s not really a con.
Where do I buy it?
You can buy it from the CurrentBody website. It retails for
€331 but you can use code BLUSHY15 to get 15% off so you can get it for 281,35€
