Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Chanel Le Liner De Chanel in the shade 516 Rouge Noir.
In case you didn’t know, Rouge Noir is an ICONIC Chanel nail polish, it became famous in the 90’s because it was the colour that Uma Turman was wearing in Pulp Fiction.
Now if you know me, you’d know I LOVE to use burgundy on my eyes because it emphasizes the colour of them. Combined with the fact that I absolutely adore Rouge Noir as a colour you know I couldn’t skip this eyeliner.
I actually hope that Chanel wakes up and makes an entire Rouge Noir collection because it would be rather epic.
You can get it here for 35$ and it comes in 7 shades which I was able to swatch for you.
This shade is a very dark burgundy, exactly the same colour as the nail polish.
The packaging is quite classic for an eyeliner, the long handle makes it super easy to grab it to use it.
The shade number is at the bottom and the sticker is the same colour as the eyeliner.
It’s a felt tip liner which I definitely love, I prefer it to any kind of applicator, it’s not too big or too small and it releases the right amount of product.
The formula is very liquidy, not to the point that it bleeds, but it’s easy to apply and it doesn’t drag the lid.
It’s very pigmented and this colour is perfect to give definition without being as harsh as black.
Here are the other shades swatched, I didn’t do the black and the silver because the black was pretty obvious and they didn’t have the silver.
They all look pretty apart from the blue which looks slightly watery.
When I use liquid liner I tend to skip primer so it has to last well without it (on me that’s a mission).
This liner lasted 8 hours without smudging or bleeding but it’s still easy to remove.
- Colour: 10/10

- Pigmentation: 9/10
- Comfort: 9/10
- Packaging: 8/10
I love this eyeliner, I love the colour, the packaging and the way it applies. I think the lasting power is amazing too. I don’t think that the black is worth that price but this shade is so unique I think is worth the splurge, especially because I know I’ll get a lot of wear out of it since I love that colour on me.
I really hope you guys enjoyed it, don’t forget to like, comment and share to let me know all your thoughts and if you have any question.
