Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Fenty Beauty Universal Gloss Bomb, this is the only shade they have and it’s called Fenty Glow.
I am a SUCKER for this kind of product, when they say they are universally flattering I’m all in I don’t know why I wanted this gloss ever since it came out but 18$ for a gloss sounded like a lot.
If you saw the review of the Fenty Beauty Hu$tla Baby Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter you would already know what I’m about to say but n case you didn’t: I got this gloss in a kit with that highlighter because it was a better investment than just one of them. (You can check that post for the full story).
You can get the same kit I have here for 23$ or the gloss full size here for 18$.
I love the fact that this kit exists: Julia has it (she got it in London a while back) so I knew it was going to come here too. I really wanted the gloss but 18$ for a just the gloss was too much for me, this kit is 23$ and I get the mini highlighter too.
On a side note when I got the other duo I couldn’t decide between that shade or this one, but Mean Money (the other half of the full size) swatched really badly. So I’m quite happy that with this kit I was able to get half of the highlighter I wanted, plus the gloss that I wanted for a really great price.PACKAGING
The packaging is very classic for a lip gloss. I really like the rose gold cup and overall it feels fancy.
The doe foot applicator is HUGE even if this is the mini. Actually, about that, this is a VERY generous mini, the bottle is 5.5ml and just so you know, a lot of glosses that are full size comes with 5ml or less.
FUN FACT: this is the only pentagon shaped item in the Fenty Line, everything else is a hexagon, don’t know why but I thought I could share that. (Credits to Julia who noticed it)
The scent is very strong and sweet, it’s like fruity caramel, it honestly reminds me of the gloss I used when I was a kid. It’s not bad but it’s very heavy.
The gigantic doe foot makes it super easy to apply in one swipe, it doesn’t pick up too much product.
COLOUR & EFFECT
The shade is a muted warm-toned rosy nude with shimmer, very pretty and flattering on most skin tones. Once you apply it, it’s basically sheer shimmer with a hint of nude.
It’s very glossy, it gives a wet glow to the lips and that very plumped effect. It’s not sticky or gloopy.
It doesn’t change the colour of what you apply underneath but I prefer to use it alone.
This lipgloss lasts for 2 hours on me (without eating), since it’s so shiny I wasn’t expecting an incredible lasting time, but you can reapply it very easily.

- Packaging: 10/10
I love this gloss, I like the formula since is so creamy and shiny, I like the packaging, it’s comfortable and perfect for everyday wear, I’ve been keeping it in my purse since I got it. I think it’s a nice product to have, not a must, I mean is just a gloss but I can’t deny how much I’ve been using it, I’ve been pairing with more dark smokey eyes and with simpler everyday looks. I’m so glad I got this kit, such a great value for money.
