Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the ColourPop Super Shock Highlighter in the shades On The Cusp and Fire.
I am SO EXCITED for this review if you saw my post about the ColourPop X Kathleen Lights Zodiac Collection you would know that I bought the entire collection and in the next few weeks I’ll tell you everything about it.
This was my first time trying ColourPop and I can’t wait to share my thoughts with you about this super affordable brand. I couldn’t believe the prices of some of these products.
You can get them here for 8$ each.
On The Cusp

PACKAGING
I can’t believe how nice the packaging is. The cardboard box where it comes in it’s black with rose gold zodiac details while the actual pot is dark blue. The shade name is on the back.
I think the packaging is super pretty and easy to carry around, you just have to make sure you close it or the product will dry out.
PIGMENTATION & FORMULA
It’s a bright, champagne ivory with a sparkling, metallic finish. It’s very strong and glittery it almost looks wet but it’s still very smooth, creamy and very pigmented, it didn’t enhance my texture at all.
If you are not familiar with the texture of ColourPop pot products they are kind of creamy but more moussy and when you put them on they feel like a powder.
The colour is pretty and I’m obsessed with it, I’m not one for very bright highlighters but this is so blinding and somehow still looks natural, I’m so into it.
APPLICATION
The best way to apply it is with your finger, it meshes beautifully with the skin.
SWATCH
LASTING POWER
On me, it lasts around 8 hours without fading. Which is amazing considering that is a more creamy product and I have oily skin.
RATINGS:
- Colour: 10/10
- Longevity: 9/10
- Application: 9/10
- Texture: 9/10
- Pigmentation: 9/10
- Packaging: 9/10
GRADE: A+
I love this highlighter, it makes you look radiant from the inside, it’s a very natural glow but totally buildable. The formula is amazing and the packaging is so pretty. I honestly did not think I would like it this much, it literally became a must in my collection and I think that for that price you can’t go wrong.

PIGMENTATION & FORMULA
It’s a bright, peachy gold with warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. It’s less strong and glittery than the other shade but it’s still very smooth, creamy and very pigmented, it didn’t enhance my texture at all.
The colour is pretty but I don’t think it looks particularly good on me so I gave it to my sister who loves it.

I like this highlighter but this colour is not for me, which is totally personal preference. The formula is amazing and the packaging is so pretty. I think that if you like the shade this product is a must try because it’s such a good value for money.

You look great!❤️ The color Fire would look great on me I think because I’m tanned like crazy?
My sister is using it with a tan and it looks AMAZING on her!!
I adore the outer packaging I was so sad to thrown mine away! I haven’t figured out the best way to apply these to my skin yet but they are beautiful x
I like to use my ring finger almost flat to the cheek (I hope it explains xD) to apply it and then blend with the middle one. It looks good like this ??
lovely review as always, the shades you got are absolutely stunning, I love Colourpop’s highlighters, the formula is just amazing for the low price!! I love your and your sister’s makeup looks btw!!
Thank you! You were so RIGHT about them, I’m obsessed ???
Can you get these over the counter?! I love a specific Maybelline brand but these look like they’d be so similar!
If you are in the US I saw them on Ulta’s website but I’m not sure if they are actually in store ?
I love highlighters, just need to learn how to apply it correctly.
Just put it where the light would naturally hit your face so top of the cheeks, bridge of the nose, Cupid’s bow, inner corner and brow bone ??
Oohhh it looks super pretty on you ? great review xx
Thank you ♥️
It’s okay xx
I love colourpop! I’m going to have to give this shadow a try.
They are so pretty!
Look at that glow! Definitely need to try it out. I have a big pallet, but I was looking for something I can take on the go.
This is definitely perfect!
I need to try Colourpop, it’s such an affordable brand but costs alot of to ship to the UK. Those highlighters look gorgeous, can’t get over how blinding they are Xx
They are amazing! I’m in Italy so I know about the shipping costs ? it’s free over 50$ so I didn’t pay, I don’t know how much it is if you do, but the package arrived in about two weeks ?
That’s so good, hopefully it’s the same for us! Xx
You look so pretty. I love the shade “on the cusp”. Do you think it will be similar to Wet n Wild Precious Petals?
Precious Petals is way more pink!
Great review! Your eye makeup on the last picture though. It looks so good on you! ❤️
Thank you 💕
