Hi Darlings, today’s review is going to be on the Fenty Beauty Pro Filtr Instant Retouch Primer.
It was finally time for me to try a Fenty primer, this is the classic one, the first that came out which shouldn’t be too matt or too hydrating.
It was again a sample from the advent calendar but you can get a mini size too if you want to try it before splurging on it.
I’m very picky with my primer because I genuinely adore the Clarins Sos Primer. I’ve been using it for almost 2 years and I still haven’t found anything better.
You can get it from Sephora for 32$ or get the mini for 16$.
PACKAGING
The bottle is a classic primer bottle and it comes with a pump which I definitely appreciate, in my opinion, the packaging is beautiful and of course, I love the pink.
I appreciate the pump as it’s really sanitary.

EFFECT & TEXTURE
This primer feels like a moisturizer, it doesn’t feel like a silicone product and as you can see it’s tinted. It’s super sheer so it won’t give you any major coverage.
It makes my skin super smooth and soft. The finish is matte which I like, going more into winter it will be too drying though.
It doesn’t fill my pores up very well and that makes it a bit pointless to use for me.
APPLICATION
The best way to apply it is by dabbing it on with your fingers.

LASTING POWER
It definitely makes my foundation last all day and it doesn’t break it apart but it looks a bit dry by the end of the day.
RATINGS:
- Effect: 7/10
- Longevity: 8/10
- Application: 9/10
- Texture: 8/10
- Packaging: 9/10
GRADE: B
I like this primer. I definitely like the texture and the way it feels on the skin, it makes me look a bit dry by the end of the day so it’s more suited for combination-oily skin. The only thing I really don’t like is that it doesn’t do much for my pores which means I have to combine it with a pore minimizer and since my Clarins one does it all, I’ll just stick with it. This is not a bad product but is not as good as that one.

I have been trying to get Fenty Primer for months now, but Sephora is always sold out. Thanks for this review. I might have to try Clarins if it helps with pores better.
Go with Clarins, you won’t regret it 😉
Their packaging looks always so beautiful and eye catching. I do like the sound of the formula x

I love the packaging!
Wow, your skin looks perfect. I use a competitive product, but it often leaves a made up look. Thanks for introducing this one.
You are welcome dear x
If it doesn’t break then it’s perfect for me. I usually apply a li’l bit of argan oil from stopping my primer to go dry! Thanks for the review! 🙂
That’s such a great tip! I’ll have to keep it in mind going into winter x
Thanks for the review..! I think I might consider buying this brand, the packaging is so cute.
I love the packaging x
This product is so amazing. I really love its natural color. You always sharing awesome products. Thanks!
I have very sensitive skin. I get pimples every now and then. Is it skin-friendly for all types of skin?
It should be fine but maybe get a sample first x
I would love to try this primer, but based on what you said… I may go ahead and try the Clarins instead. It sounds a bit better for my skin.
Clarins in the best!
Oh I love that this is available at Sephora! The improvement in complexion is amazing.
I need a good primer for before I put on the makeup. Thank you for the suggestion!
Enjoy x
