Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Essence Sprinkled Chrome Eyeshadow in the shades 01 Venus and 03 Mars.
You know I’m not the biggest fan of Essence eyeshadows but these really made me curious because they looked like the Huda Beauty ones with the white dots on it, you know?
I thought they were kind of cool but then Julia said they looked rotten and molding so now I look at them and feel gross LOL. What do you think?
Anyway, they come in three shades, you can get them here for 4,27$ each.
01 Venus
03 Mars
COLOUR
- 01 Venus is a bronze
- 03 Mars is a coppery red
PACKAGING
The packaging is very cheap. It’s quite sturdy but not pretty whatsoever.
I also hate that they come as single shadows, although it is convenient for the price, I never end up using them because I tend to reach for my palettes way more. That being said, I like them for quick looks.
The shade name is on the back.
FORMULA & PIGMETATION
The texture of this shadow is super unique: it’s kind of moussy and squishy, so I find that it works better applied with your fingers.
This shade has quite an intense pigmentation and it’s very shimmery but also very powdery. I always do my eyes first that way I can clean up any fallout.
It meshes perfectly with your skin and other colours and it gives the most beautiful wet reflex.
APPLICATION
I like to put it on with my finger and then blend the edges with a brush easily, overall it’s a product very easy to use.
SWATCH
01 Venus

03 Mars

LASTING POWER
I never use eyeshadow without primer that being said it lasts 7 hours without creasing and then it starts fading.
RATINGS:
- Colour: 8/10
- Longevity: 8/10
- Application: 9/10
- Formula: 7/10
- Pigmentation: 9/10
- Packaging: 6/10
GRADE: B+
These eyeshadows are so pretty. The colours aren’t super original but they are insanely easy to use, super blinding and long-lasting. If you are looking for something quick to use daily you’ll love it. For that price, I can’t recommend them enough despite the fact I don’t like that it is a single pan.

Oh pretty, I do like the colors. I think it looks lovely on, so I’d pick up one of these. Probably the pink shade.
That’s so pretty and easy to use!
I really love the Essence Chrome shadow formula – it is one of the few ColourPop SSS dupes that I think is actually comparable. I think that’s why they go with the single shadow packaging, maybe? Otherwise I think they’d dry out.
But also, these look so incredibly beautiful. I think the white pigments add an extra dimension of sparkle to the way the shadows look on the lids!!
Yeah I still have the Chrome ones but I’m pretty sure they don’t do them anymore, at least here. They are so nice, I got a purply-bronze last year and it was gorgeous.
Thanks for doing the arm swatches. The colors are so pigmented.
Yeah I agree!
I know you don’t like the formula, but the way you described it as squishy makes me want to get it just to touch it, LOL!!
The formula is ok, it’s the rotten look that grosses me out ahahah!
I hardly ever use single eyeshadows but these do look pretty
I agree, I rarely use them but i know a lot of people who love them!
I’m not a big fan of eyeshadow, as I have super sensitive eyes. This type does look like it would add a sparkle to a special night!
Totally, sorry for your sensitivity.
These are such pretty shades!! Perfect for the summer!!
Agree!
I can’t believe it’s so cheap! Those are exactly the kind of eye-shadow I would buy! Love them!!
I bet you’ll love them x
I don’t know how I feel about the white speckles on them, but both of the shades look so pretty!! I am especially more interested in Mars because I don’t usually see those tones anywhere. 🙂 thanks for reviewing these 🙂
Once you get pass the moldy look they are actually nice!
