Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Dior Forever Summer Skin.
You know when you try a product and immediately know it’s going to be SO good? That’s what happened to me with this foundation.
It is part of the Summer Collection and when I first heard about it months ago I knew it was going to be right up my alley and finally trying it totally confirmed what I though.
It only comes in 4 shades (you’ll see the swatches of every shade on me), it is very sheer and watery so it doesn’t matter if it’s not a perfect match but I still feel like it’s not enough. I have the shade Fair Light and it matches me perfectly. It is the lightest shade and I’m not that light so I’m not sure it will suit everyone.

PACKAGING
The bottle is made of plastic and it is a squeeze tub. I love it, I think that although is less fancy than usual is still incredibly beautiful.
I like that is travel-friendly and clumsy proof, I think that’s why it’s less expensive than usual.
FORMULA
The formula is quite thin and runny, it feels like water, you have to shake it before applying it.
It has light coverage but it’s buildable. The finish is very glowy and looks very smooth on the skin. The best part is that despite being so luminous is actually dry on the face and it doesn’t create that greasy feeling.
Something that really impressed me is how it glides on the skin, it looks so natural on but my face looks incredibly smooth and poreless but like I’m not wearing anything.
EFFECT
It honestly looks incredible on, it doesn’t have much coverage but you can see how radiant makes my skin look.
It looks like you are wearing a filter. I have combination skin and I love it but if you are oily it might be too much.
APPLICATION
My favourite way to apply it’s dabbing it with my fingers on the face and then blend it with a damp sponge, I find that it makes the foundation mesh with the skin beautifully.

This foundation lasts for 8 hours without blotting it despite the heat.

I really like this foundation, I love it for day to day life. It’s easy to wear and it doesn’t look like you are wearing anything. I like the glowy finish and sheer coverage. I also like the packaging as it makes it easy to carry around. The shade is a perfect match for me and I know I’ll wear it all summer long. I’m actually terrified this is a limited edition, that’s how much I love it.

This is so perfect for summer when you just want a little coverage but not so much you sweat and your makeup comes off?. I like how this is buildable so you can layer on as much or little as you want!

Now I see why you thought of me when you were wearing this! Haha! It looks totally lovely on you. This totally sounds up my alley in every way. Why is it limited edition?? It’s like with the NARS Tinted Glow Booster too – why would you make a product like that limited edition?? I just don’t understand. I feel like I have too many bases at the moment to justify another purchase though, ahhh!

I’m guessing they want a quick sale, so that’s why they make these things limited-edition. I can understand that with eyeshadow collections or blushes, but I never understand limited edition base products. So weird!

Have you ever tried the Dior Body Foundation? I’m wondering if the Dior Forever Summer foundation is similar to the body foundation!
The Body foundation is more pigmented. I’ve reviewed it in the past, I love it. This one is definitely more sheer and way more luminous! They have a similar consistency though ?
Wow the finish is so beautiful – it is like summer in a bottle. But 4 shades is definitely not enough especially given the range that they put out – the lightest and deepest skin tones are totally ignored.
