Today’s question is: “Is there a brand you stopped buying / supporting?”
Hi Darlings, so today’s post is going to be another: Mimi & Julia Ask.
Where we are going to ask you a beauty related question and we want to read your answers so make sure to leave a comment.
If you have a question for next week you are free to ask and I’ll make sure include it in another post and to give you credit for it.
Is there a brand you stopped buying / supporting?
Mimi: There are a few brands that I don’t find exciting anymore for the most part but if they’d come out with interesting products I’d buy without problem (Urban Decay, Becca, Rimmel London).
Other than that, I tend to be very forgiving of people/brands, I try not to care about influencers vs brands fight because, at the end of the day, they didn’t do anything to me and if they make good makeup that’s all I care about.
That being said, with all of what happened recently, I’ve stopped using Jeffree Star Cosmetics. You know I love his liquid lipsticks but what he did was so disgusting I couldn’t be blind.
His explanation video was horrible and hypocritical, mentioning the BLM movement (here you can donate and sign petitions) only to distract people from what he was saying but without any good intentions behind it.
I was already tired of his behaviour and I haven’t watched a video in months but that video was a breaking point for me, I decided to unfollow him and after this post, I won’t mention him again.
Julia: Kiko because I used to buy when I was young, now I realized that their products aren’t good and they focus more on the packaging rather than on the quality of them.
NOW IT’S YOUR TURN: LEAVE US A COMMENT SO WE CAN START A CONVERSATION.
