COLOUR
Honesty is a nude brown.
Hope is a nude pink.
PACKAGING
It has a lip gloss tube in the classic Rare Beauty packaging. It has pointed doefoot which I love and doesn’t really have a scent.
FORMULA
I know this might sound controversial because so many people love them but I don’t think this product is as unique as they make it sound. It is supposed to be a lip oil that leaves a stain behind, which it does, but to me it’s not a lip oil. It just a standard lip stain that once the top creamy part goes away it leaves the stain behind.
A lip oil is supposed to feel hydrating, this doesn’t, it dries my lips just like any other lip stain would. maybe my lips are dry but I personally feel like since lip oils are super popular right now, they chose the trendy name for a product that in reality, is a just a lip stain.
That being said, the formula itself is ok, it is very liquidy and light weight, it feels like water and once it dries it leaves a slight stain behind. If you have dry lips it will grab to the dry patches but overall it is very pretty and looks good as an everyday lipstick.
APPLICATION
I love the pointy applicator because it allows me to be very precise.
LASTING POWER
On me, it lasts 1 hour before the “oil” part starts to fade, the stain lasts 2-3 hours but if I eat something it will go away.
Final Thoughts on the Rare Beauty Hope, Honesty Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil:
I really like the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil. I got the two lightest shades and they work well in my routine, the formula looks pretty and even. It could last a bit longer but overall is really nice. I just find the name lip oil a bit deceiving because to me this isn’t hydrating all that much, which is something I expect when something is marketed as lip oil. It is just a stain with a very light weight formula.
I really hope you guys enjoyed the post, don’t forget to like, comment and share to let me know what you think and if you have any questions.
