Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review of the Bali Body BBSkin – Morning Skincare Routine.
Not going to lie, not only I was INCREDIBLY excited when Bali Body asked me to review the Morning Skincare range. I worked on the PM one when it launched and the Pro-Collagen Cream is my absolute favourite moisturizer (it’s part of the AM Routine too and I’m insanely happy they send me a new bottle… My third one).
In case you missed it, BBSkin is a sub-brand of Bali Body that offers a skincare line with a strong science background, vegan, cruelty free and inclusive for all skin types.
On top of that the packaging is made with 100% recycled materials. I don’t know about you but to me it sounds amazing.
This range includes seven products, but today we are going to focus on the ones I haven’t covered yet and that they thought for the morning. (the routine includes as mentioned the Pro-Collagen Cream and the Vitamin D Serum, you can read about both products here).
- Brightening Eye Serum
- Hydrating Skin Shield
You can get the products separately or together in the AM Kit.
I was not compensated for this post, however, I did receive all the Bali Body products free of charge in exchange for this review. The links in the post aren’t affiliated. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
PRODUCT DETAILS:
- Price:
- Brightening Eye Serum 32€ for 15ml
- Hydrating Skin Shield 35€ for 30ml
- Vegan: Yes
- Cruelty Free: Yes
PACKAGING
I am OBSESSED with the packaging, the matte brown is so stunning. Like it makes me happy to see it in my bathroom. I love that they all come with a pump because it’s super sanitary and you don’t spread bacteria into the products.
All the products are fragrance free but they have a slight scent (that comes from the ingredients). It’s very delicate and it doesn’t bother my skin at all.
FORMULA
Bali Body BBSkin Brightening Eye Serum

I’m a sucker for a good eye cream and this one has the same consistency as the Pro-Collagen Cream (I think because they both have Peptides in it, which side note, my skin LOVES) so it’s incredible. It’s thick and feels almost like a primer because it’s so smooth. It really plumps and brightens my under eye and looks incredible under makeup. It’s hydrating without being greasy. I have a very dry under eye area and ever since I’ve started using this eye cream I feel like my creases are less prominent. It also helps to reduce dark circles and puffiness in the morning (I am a night owl that gets up at 6,30AM most days so I need it).
It contains:
- Peptides: Perform specific functions such as building collagen and elastin to support, firm and hydrate the skin.
- Chamomile Extract: Known for its ability to calm and soothe, chamomile helps to alleviate redness, relieve inflammation, soothe sensitive skin and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- Cucumber Extract: Hydrates and soothes the skin. Its refreshing properties can reduce puffiness and relieve itching, as well as help to ease redness.
Bali Body BB Skin Hydrating Skin Shield

I’m not going to lie, this product confused me at first. I didn’t know how to use it and how it would benefit my skin so I’m going to try and explain it to you as best as I can.
It’s a hybrid between a serum, a sluggish cream and a oil, that also protects you from UVA, UVB and blue light. You are supposed to use it as a last step to further hydrate, lock in the moisture and protect the skin.
I actually prefer to use it in the evenings because my skin is too oily and I find this formula a bit thick and too dewy. It leaves my skin super luminous and plump but I don’t like it under makeup but I don’t mind looking like a glazed donut when I’m relaxing on the couch. I love that it protects me from blue light since I’m always on my phone.
I feel like it helps repair the barrier of my skin and that helped me with my rosacea. Overall, I love it and if you have dry skin, or if you get really dehydrated in winter this product is for you. Trust me when I tell you you have never tried anything like it.
The key Ingredients are:
Provitamin B5: Deeply hydrates a n d nourishes with anti-inflammatory protection.
Hyaluronic Acid: Hydrates and improves skin’s elasticity thanks to its ability to aid the regulation of epidermal cells and retain 1000 times its own weight in water to boosts skin’s moisture content and plump the look of skin.
Zinc Oxide: An essential mineral that can help maintain skin health. When applied topically, zinc oxide forms a barrier on top of our skin. This protective barrier shields skin from the elements such as UV rays, and locks in hydration and moisture.
Final GRADE:
Overall, it’s safe to say I love this range. I love how effective the formulas are and the fact that are made with well studied ingredients. I can’t even begin to tell you how obsessed I am with the Pro-Collagen Cream and the Brightening Eye Serum because my skin loves peptides. The Hydrating Skin Shield will be a god sent in winter and I genuinely adore it as a last step in my evening skincare routine. On top of that, it’s also beautiful to keep on display and I appreciate that everything is both vegan and cruelty free. I genuinely hope you’ll try it because it deserves all the love.
I really hope you guys enjoyed the post, don’t forget to like, comment and share to let me know what you think and if you have any questions.
