Today’s review is going to be of the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Foundation.
When the concealer and the powder came out I realised that I actually haven’t tried the famous Fenty foundation and I wasn’t even sure why so when I bought those I also got a sample of the foundation. I’m super picky with foundations so grabbing a sample it’s the safest way for me to try it before buying it.
Of course, we all know why this foundation was so popular when it came out. Because it was the first time a brand came out with 40 shades for the first launch which was so huge. At this moment the also updated the range adding 10 more.
I have the shade 150 which is for light skin with neutral undertones and it matches me perfectly.
You can get it from Sephora for 34$
(Of course, since I just have a sample I can’t show you mine and the photos are from the Sephora website).
The bottle is a classic foundation and it comes with a pump which I definitely appreciate, in my opinion, the packaging is beautiful.
I appreciate the pump as it’s really sanitary.
FORMULA & COVERAGE
The formula is thick and not runny, it’s definitely full coverage.
It is super matt and incredibly drying even of my oily skin (I mean, you can totally see that on my arm).
My favourite way to apply it it’s with a damp sponge, I find that it makes the foundation mesh with the skin a lot better.
This foundation looks so BAD on me: it grabs to dry patches, it shows so much of my texture and it enhances my pores. I really don’t think it works for my skin type.
I look like a dry crumbly mess. The first time I put it on I had to take it off immediately because it just looked so bad on me.
This foundation lasts for 4 hours without getting shiny.

- Application: 5/10
- Effect: 3/10
- Texture: 4/10
- Packaging: 8/10
I wanted to like this foundation way more than I do but it doesn’t work for my skin type. I like the packaging and the colour but it grabs to my dry patches and it shows texture and pores. It just doesn’t work for me. I know so many people like it so I suggest you to ask for a sample since it might work for you but that’s definitely a pass for me.
I really hope you guys enjoyed it, don’t forget to like, comment and share to let me know all your thoughts and if you have any question.
