Hi Darlings, in today’s post I’m going to share with you the Most Iconic Beauty Moments In TV and Music History.
The other day I was watching The Tourist and I was thinking “OMG Angelina Jolie is so beautiful in this movie?!”
Now as a beauty addict I usually notice makeups and makeup moments in movies or music videos but there are some of these scenes that are so iconic that you can’t miss them.
I know that I remember some of these scenes growing up and a few of them had a huge impact in my love of makeup.
Do you know any other iconic moment? Let me know in the comments
Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany

No matter how old you are Breakfast at Tiffany is a classic that’s so worth watching. In this scene, at the end of the movie, Audrey Hepburn is about to get bad news but first, she pulls out her lipstick and says “A girl can’t read that sort of things without lipstick”. Well, the lipstick she used became a classic and the best part is that it’s still available, super affordable and still a perfect everyday shade: it’s the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink In The Afternoon.
Rihanna At The 2013 Grammy’s

At the 2013 Grammy’s, Rihanna wore this stunning Red Valentino gown and she paired it with this simple smokey eye and red lips. The lipstick was MAC Ruby Woo (my favourite red). This red was already famous because is universally flattering but she made it a cult. Years before Fenty Beauty came out she did an actual collab with MAC and created her own red lipstick called Riri Woo (inspired by that one) and it sold out in a couple of hours.
Elizabeth Taylor’s Cleopatra

In 1963 Elizabeth Taylor played Cleopatra in a movie that’s such a classic, I remember seeing it when I was 7 or 8 and I was mesmerized by her. Guarantee her purple eyes were already famous and all Cleopatra’s looks were beautiful but this one it’s still so iconic and still, the most recreated at Halloween. I’ll do the math for you: the movie is 56 years old!
Lady Gaga At The 2016 Superbowl
I’ve been a fan of Lady Gaga before it was cool so I vividly remember her 2016 Superbowl performance. She sang the national anthem so beautifully everybody talked about it but in the beauty community, her look was more popular than her performance. Sarah Tanno, her make up artist shared all the product she used and the look was recreated by so many people on YouTube.
Angelina Jolie in The Tourist
Angelina Jolie is always stunning but in this scene in The Tourist, she’s beyond. The look is so chic and classy, the soft brown matte smokey eyes paired with the glossy red lips is perfect. All her looks in the movie are stunning but I’m pretty sure that everyone, as soon as she comes out, in this scene had an “OMG she’s a goddess” moment.
Taylor Swift Our Song Music Video
It was 2007 when Taylor Swift’s Our Song video came out and it was also when makeup tutorials on YouTube were becoming a thing and everyone and their mother recreated either the gold look when she’s at the phone or the silver one when she’s on the porch with the blue dress. I was the second. Of course, mine is not on YouTube but it was one of my first approaches to make up. (I’m not sharing it here because I respect you way too much but I’ve shared it on Instagram in the past).
Effie Trinket in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Effie Trinket was the queen of crazy looks but nothing was as famous as the butterfly look in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in 2013. From the makeup to the hair to the actual dress it was iconic.
Miley Cyrus Who Owns My Heart Music Video

In 2010 the video of Who Owns My Heart there is this scene where Miley is putting on lipstick before going out and it’s so iconic. The lipstick was the Viva Glam Gaga I and it was sold out in seconds. Julia and I were obsessed with it, we bought countless baby pink lipsticks trying to find the perfect match.
Anne Hathaway In The Devil Wears Prada

All jokes aside I’m pretty sure I can quote The Devil Wears Prada line by line. It’s one of my favourite movies in the world. Of course, the movie is about fashion and Anne Hathaway has some amazing looks through the entire movie but this one, when she has red lipstick, is iconic. She looks perfect with it.
Elsa In Frozen

Last iconic moment I want to share comes from Frozen, I can’t remember a Disney movie that was as popular (with reasons, of course, it’s amazing) but it’s beauty iconic because Elsa is the first Disney princess wearing heavy make up! Sure other princesses wore it too but it was always very subtle. Heavy make up was for evil queens (makes you think right?). But now that makeup is a very popular princess wear it too! It’s awesome!

It was this photo of Rihanna that made me interested in MAC products. I also have her complete line of Riri Woo, and I absolutely love the eyeshadow palette. 🙂
That’s amazing!
I can’t believe the lipstick that Audrey Hepburn wore is still available, it’s amazing how some things can be popular so long. also, I agree with you about the butterfly look from Hunger Games being iconic. I believe it will be hard to beat that one!
It’s crazy that is still available and yeah the butterfly look is incredible
I love how you included Elsa! I’ve definitely seen these all and agree, but I’ll have to rewatch some just so I can get a little beauty inspo myself!!
Elsa is amazing! Thank you for reading x
Never realized that about Elsa till you mentioned it but you are absolutely right!
Gotta say TS looked really gorgeous in that video.
She was so pretty!!!
Great idea! I wonder if the makeup thing with Elsa is because she was originally going to be a villain but I’ve never really thought about how Disney use makeup on their characters before. Interesting x
Thank you! That might be the case but hopefully we will see more princesses wearing make up since this was such a success
Whenever I got to watch a movie or a music video, my attention never misses the make up look. I like Taylor’s best. It’s subtle yet elegant.
I love that lipstick Miley Cyrus uses! Just doesn’t go well with my skin tone at all 🙁
I’m pretty sure it only looked good on her ahah
Oh wow, I hadn’t realized you could still get the lipstick Audrey Hepburn worn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s! I loved the Devil Wears Prada too, and was obsessed with Anne Hathaway’s transformation in that movie. I so wanted her hairstyle, but it would look awful on me!
Have you ever seen Fight Club? Remember the character Marla Singer (Helena Bonham Carter)? Her makeup was not pretty at all, but it was so grungy-cool in its own way!
I’ve never seen Fight Club, but I know about her look, she honestly has the most creative looks I love her
I know!
I like the Taylor Swift makeup in the video you’re talking about too. I can see why Rhianna’s version of the lipstick sold out. She can wear anything and make it look gorgeous.
Omg totally!
Wow, Taylor Swift and Audrey Hepburn is so so stunning..! I better grab that Audrey lipstick, it so chic,I bet it will look great on me too.. ☺️
It will, it’s such a flattering tone
awesome list! Breakfast’s lipstick scene is so beautiful! Riri has always been my makeup icon and Devil Wears Prada is just classic is terms of everything fashion (makeup included). great list!
Thank you x

I love Lady Gaga, She has the exceptional beauty. Some finds her weird but I find her gorgeous. I love the way she dress herself and makeup of course.
She’s the best x
Angelina Jolie always amaze me with her look. She is so fabulous and gorgeous. I saw her once and I can say that she has the natural beauty.
She’s so beautiful x
OK, I am not a Taylor Swift fanatic, but her makeup looks incredible! I love the nude lipstick with gloss.
Same but I love her
Lady Gaga at the superbowl is my fav! Those glittery eyes are just so stunning!
