Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review of the Too Faced Born This Way Translucent Setting Powder.
I recently got the Sephora Advent Calendar, it is the Italian version so I’m not going to link it but there were a bunch of sample sizes of products I wanted to try so you are going to get reviews going forward.
The first product I’m going to talk about is the Too Faced Born This Way Translucent Setting Powder, as you might already know I have a love affair with the Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder, which, in my opinion, is the best setting powder out there.
But, of course, I like to try new things all the time, that being said, I had I hopes for this.
You can get the sample size (1.5g) I have for 15$ or the full size for 33$ both from Sephora.
PACKAGING
(I’m going to talk about the full size packaging since mine is a but different)
The pot itself is quite big and bulky but it contains A LOT of product and it’s again, so pretty, it feels quite fancy.
Inside it has a little lid that prevents the powder from coming out and go everywhere. Although it’s quite big I feel like the fact that it has a lid and that the actual pot it’s in hard plastic makes it quite travel-friendly.

FORMULA & EFFECT
Unlike the peach one, this one doesn’t have a scent.
The powder is very finely milled and soft, it’s slightly tinted but it doesn’t change the colour of your foundation or your concealer.
This powder looks amazing on my skin, you can see in the picture how much my pores are minimized, my face looks and feels like a rose petal especially from the distance (just like the other one)
It’s less matt than the other one so I’d recommend this one for more normal/dry skin types.
It doesn’t look cakey or powdery.

APPLICATION
I like to apply it with a wet sponge, I find that this way it meshes with my skin a lot better.
It’s quite easy to apply the holes disperse the perfect amount of product and it’s not too fine to fly everywhere.
LASTING POWER
If I bake, it makes my concealer last all day without creasing.
All over my face, it lasts 4 hours before I have to blot which is not the best I have tried but it’s not bad.
RATINGS:
- Colour: 10/10
- Longevity: 8/10
- Application: 9/10
- Texture: 10/10
- Pigmentation: 10/10
- Packaging: 9/10
GRADE: A-
I really like this powder, I think Too Faced really kills it with face powders. Every single one I’ve tried I’ve loved. The finish on the skin is beautiful and it’s very easy to apply. It makes the skin look flawless. I’d definitely consider buying the full size.

They are really good I agree x
This product looks awesome! I have a friend who is sometimes having a dry skin. I think this is good for her.
I bet she’ll love it x
Wow you gave it a great rating. Makes me want to try it too. Especially that under eye area is important. I use laura mercier’s powder right now and love it, but wouldn’t mind trying this one now too. Thx for the review… So helpful.
Thank you for reading, I’ve heard amazing things about the Laura Mercier one but I’ve never tried because it’s hard to get in Italy, I hope you’ll like this one. xxx
Omg I love the beauty advent calendar! But you’re opening them before december? hahaha ? The product sound really good! I actually never tried any setting powder because I feel it wouldn’t be worth it since I don’t wear a lot of makeup!
I literally opened it the moment it arrived. I have the Kinder one for December ??? if you don’t need to set your make up you actually don’t need a setting powder ?
