Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the MAC Lipglass in the shade Young Star from the Starring You Collection.
You didn’t see this one coming right? I’m so predictable, I know, but how could I resist such a beauty? This is my favourite colour of lip gloss after all and a MAC limited edition is a MAC limited edition.
This is actually the only product that I really wanted from this year’s holiday collection so I’m quite satisfied with my purchase.
I absolutely love MAC Lipglasses. As the name of the formula suggests, they look like glass on the lips. They are super sticky though, so if that’s something that bothers you I’d stay away from these.
You can get it from maccosmetics.com for $18.50
On the website, the shade is described as a light white pink with pearl.
The packaging for this lipglass is a thick and relatively small tube in hard plastic material. It has glitter all over the cap. The shade name is written on the bottom in the usual MAC style but you can’t read it well because it’s in gold.
The doe-foot lip gloss applicator is quite small and sharp, so it’s very easy and precise to use. It picks up just the right amount of product, and you can cover your entire lips with just one dip.
The scent is lovely, like vanilla.
If you’ve tried MAC lip gloss, you would know that they are very sticky, and this one is no exception. The formula is very dense and thick, but super shiny.
Even if the colour is so light it doesn’t enhance fine lines which is quite unbelievable, if you ask me. It really surprised me.
Lipglass is seriously the perfect name for this MAC product. Your lips will look like glass.
Since it is so sticky it is a very long lasting product I’d say about 4 hours.

- Pigmentation: 10/10
- Comfort: 8/10
- Packaging: 10/10
I like this gloss, I like the effect and the colour, it is really easy to apply and I don’t really mind the stickiness. I can’t believe it doesn’t enhance fine lines, this way I can wear it on its own and on top of lipsticks. If you are looking for a long lasting, high shine product and you are ok with sticky glosses, I would totally recommend it to you. I can see myself wearing this a lot.
