Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review of the Essence High Beauty Vegan Volume Mascara.
This line contains hemp seed oil which basically is manufactured from varieties of Cannabis but doesn’t contain significant amounts of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the principal psychoactive element present in the cannabis plant. The oil contains omega 3, omega 6 and linoleic acid that stimulate elastin which makes the skin more beautiful, healthy and elastic.
I’m going to repeat what I said in the Essence High Beauty Brightening Concealer review: I’ve never smoked because I’m prone to addiction so I avoid it, but no judgment if you do, the thing is, I got curious about it and when I saw an affordable brand like essence doing a line with Cannabis derivatives I decided to give it a go.

PACKAGING
The packaging is classic of mascara, you get all the info on the back.
It has a slightly curved cone brush which I really like because it grabs all the lashes.
FORMULA
The formula is quite thick and very black. Once it dries it weights your lashes down so if you curl them you’ll have to do it again after the mascara is on (be very gentle!).
This mascara is very bland. I don’t like the way it looks on my lashes and it’s terrible at holding a curl which is actually my main concern and the reason why I normally use waterproof.
I haven’t noticed any benefit with the hemp oil addiction but it might take more time.
APPLICATION
I always do two coats of mascara to get the best results.
LASTING POWER
This mascara lasts all day on me without flaking or smudging.
I find it fairly easy to remove with micellar water, I don’t have the black halo around my eyes when I wake up.

Sadly, I don’t like this mascara, it’s absolutely useless on me, to be honest, there is nothing I would save. Maybe if you like a very natural mascara but honestly you can find better anyway. Even for that price.

I’ve tried Essence Beauty Mascara and I’m surprised that this one didn’t work out for you. I hate when makeup doesn’t work out the way its advertised. I’m must admit I am still intrigued by the hemp seed oil, I will let you know if I give it a try.

I love your honesty in this review! This one appeals to me actually, because I like the fact that it’s easy to remove and doesn’t leave a black ring when you woke up (I hate that). I may check this one out!

I’ve heard some of essences mascaras are great but haven’t tried any – agree with you though this one looks a bit lack lustre – there’s better mascaras out there for sure!

That’s too bad it did not work. Usually everyone raves about their mascaras so perhaps this one was a clear miss in formula. I still would like to try it myself, I don’t use waterproof formulas so it might work better on me. Even if it doesn’t I’m not spending an arm or leg on it lol. I believe NYX also has a cannabis line but I don’t remember if they have a mascara or not.
There are some of their mascaras that work for me, the purple one and some other, tbh I’ve reviewed so many. I just have complicated lashes 😂

😂😂😂 mine are very thick (like my hair) so they are heavy and most mascaras weigh them down. Like it looks bomb for two seconds and then it looks like I have a line… Waterproof mascaras hold the curl a lot better
