Today’s question is: “Makeup shopping: online or in store? Why?”

Makeup shopping: online or in store? Why?
Mimi: I’d say it depends, mostly online if I know what I want to get and in store if I’m still undecided and maybe I want to compare colours.
Julia: In store because picture get retouched online and you don’t know if the colour you get will actually work for you. In store you can try them on and see what works for me.
NOW IT’S YOUR TURN: LEAVE US A COMMENT SO WE CAN START A CONVERSATION.

In store because I have to compare the shades on my skintone and the texture of the brands. You can try online if you already know the product and just buying for refills.
that’s a good tip!
I prefer to shop in store so I can actually see the color in person. Sometimes it looks different online. But I have shopped sales online since sometimes they are cheaper.
Yeah that’s what I do too!
I do abit of both. If I know what my shade is and its a product I like then I tend to buy online. Its very rare I buy a new product online, just because of the fear of it not matching my skin or not being great quality. I think there are pros and cons to both!
Agree!
I am happy to buy online for skincare but I like to actually purchase my makeup in store. I like to mix things up so that means I like to see colors in person.
Agree!
Both! If it’s mascara I can buy that online. If it’s foundation or blush I want someone to make sure I get the right match for my skin. I love the Ulta girls for this.
They are the best at matching you!
I try to test in store if possible, but I often purchase online. Online stores have actions or promo codes more often.
Oh totally agree!
I have to test colors in the store. But I tend to do my research online.
Agree!
I like the convenience of shopping online.
Same!
It’s usually in-store for me, which has been a huge challenge this year sadly. That’s why I’ve been buying the majority of my new purchases from the drugstore (but I do love drugstore beauty anyway!). I need to see colors/textures IRL.
I thought you couldn’t try drugstore products in the states?
For the most part you can’t, but Ulta used to provide testers even for their drugstore products. Now, no one offers testers for obvious reasons…so I’m screwed!
😂😂😂
LOLOLOL BOTH! But if I’m unsure about a product – in-store is def needed!
Ahhahaha
