Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Tower 28 Beauty SuperDew Shimmer-Free Highlighting Balm.
This product was a gift with purchase and not something I would have bought myself. It’s a glossy highlighter completely transparent, so it just gives a wet glow.
I feel like is more of an editorial product because on me, looks like I’m sweating.
COLOUR
This shade is completely transparent.
PACKAGING
It comes in a really pretty box that has a swatch to see the colour, I think is very cute.
The packaging itself is very classic and simple, the shade is written at the bottom and there’s also a description on how to use it which is really nice.
It feels very sturdy and chic.

PIGMENTATION & FORMULA
The formula is quite soft and smooth. It isn’t streaky or clumpy, it doesn’t enhance pores or texture and I like it both on top of powder or underneath.
Now it’s completely transparent so it gives more of a wet glow that will look good in pictures but in real life makes me look a bit sweaty.
So in theory, I can see where they were going with this (glossy cheeks) and it works better than other products but practically is not something I’ll ever use.
Differently for a cream blush, this stays wet though so hair will stick to it.
APPLICATION
I use a stippling brush that’s not too dense and it’s very easy to use. You can use your fingers but I find I have more control with the brush.
SWATCH

LASTING POWER
On me, it lasts around 6 hours before starting to fade.
RATINGS:
- Colour: 2/10
- Longevity: 7/10
- Application: 7/10
- Formula: 9/10
- Pigmentation: 5/10
- Packaging: 10/10
GRADE: C–
I’m a bit torn with this product, because for what it does, it’s good but really is not something I’ll ever use. If I want to do glossy cheeks I’ll just use a gloss which, yes, it’s uncomfortable but I’d probably only have it on to take a picture so I can bear it. If you like glossy cheeks and want to wear them longer, it works but the fact that it stays wet might still be uncomfortable.

This might be nice for that dewy wet look that some people look for. I am one who likes to be matte!
