Hi Darlings, in today’s post we are going to talk about the Best Blushes & Bronzers you NEED to TRY.
My blog is all about inclusivity but I have light skin and I can only talk for myself, so although most of these products come in different shades, the specific ones I’ve recommended will work for mostly light or medium skin.
I asked you on Instagram if you wanted two separate posts for this category but most of you were ok with just one so I combined blush and bronzers.
Honestly most of these products are on the expensive side but that’s because I have them in palettes, I try to get those so I can try more shades just paying once. Especially with Benefit, the palettes contain 5 FULL SIZE shades for the price of two. So I highly recommend getting a palette.
Are you ready to find you my favourite blushes and bronzers you need to try?
Blush
Do we like the same blush?
First thing first, we have to figure out if we like the same blush. My ideal blush is:
- Natural Tone
I always gravitate towards the same blush tone. I like beige shades but I’ve tried to pick different ones to give you options, at the end of the day I like when they appear as natural as possible.
- Sheer Formula
I hate clown effect so the blushes I like have a light, buildable formula.
- Shiny
I like my blushes with a bit of shimmer, not too much, just enough that they aren’t too chalky.
- Long-Lasting
I don’t want my face makeup to move through the day nor I want to touch up too much so I want a blush that doesn’t disappear after two seconds.
My Top 5 Blushes
Nars Orgasm Blush

- Price: 30$
- Size: 4,8g
- Shade: Orgasm (peachy pink with shimmer)
- Shade Range: 21 Shades available
- Formula: Powder, sheer, buildable
- Finish: Luminous
- Lasting Power: 8 hours
- Application: Angled brush
- Review: Here you can see a detailed review
My Experience: Orgasm is a cult classic for a reason, it’s a very flattering shade that works on a lot of skin tones and skin types. If you use too much product it can enhance pores but overall it gives the skin a beautiful, healthy radiance I love. It often comes in palettes and they have a mini size too so you don’t have to splurge for the full size, the reduced size will last you a long time anyway because you don’t need a lot of product.
Benefit Cosmetics Gold Rush Blush

- Price: 30$
- Size: 5g
- Shade: Gold Rush (warm golden-nectar blush)
- Shade Range: 4 shades available
- Formula: Powder, sheer, buildable
- Finish: Luminous
- Lasting Power: 5 hours
- Application: Angled brush
- Review: Here you can see a detailed review
My Experience: I really like Benefit Blushes, the formula is great and the shades are beautiful. I hate the box packaging, while is cute, it’s very unpractical and hard to store. Luckily they make palettes with the full size product which makes them more convenient both price wise and for storage. They also have mini sizes of all their blushes/bronzer so you can test them without committing to the full price.
Dior BACKSTAGE Rosy Glow Blush

- Price: 37$
- Size: 4,5g
- Shade: Pink (pink)
- Shade Range: 2 Shades available
- Formula: Powder, sheer, buildable
- Finish: Matte
- Lasting Power: 8 hours
- Application: Angled brush
- Review: Here you can see a detailed review
My Experience: This is a very interesting blush, I know the colour might look scary to some of you but fear not, is not as pink or pastelly as it looks. Once it’s on it reacts to the skin’s moisture level upon application to deliver a customized rosy effect so it’s actually very flattering on a lot of people. They also have a coral shade I’m dying to try.
Honest Beauty Rose Pink Crème Cheek Blush Fard

- Price: 13$
- Size: 3g
- Shade: Rose Pink (natural pink)
- Shade Range: 4 Shades available
- Formula: Cream, sheer, buildable
- Finish: Luminous
- Lasting Power: 8 hours
- Application: Duo-fiber brush or fingers
- Review: Here you can see a detailed review
My Experience: First and only cream blush for me, I love it. The shade is perfect for every day and it gives the skin a beautiful natural flush. It works well on all skin types since is not a greasy cream.
Essence 50 Blooming the blush

- Price: 2,99$
- Size: 5g
- Shade: 50 Blooming (pale peach)
- Shade Range: 4 Shades available
- Formula: Powder, sheer, buildable
- Finish: Satin
- Lasting Power: 6 hours
- Application: Angled brush
- Review: Here you can see a detailed review
My Experience: Super affordable option, essence blushes are the way to go if you want to save money, they have shades for every skin tone and the quality is amazing. I love this pale shade but they have some brighter ones.
Bronzer
Do we like the same Bronzer?
First thing first, we have to figure out if we like the same bronzer. My ideal bronzer is:
- Natural Tone
I always gravitate towards natural tones. I don’t want my bronzer to be too warm nor too cool. I don’t normally contour but I like bronzers that give me that option.
- Sheer Formula
Just like blushes, I like sheer, buildable formulas to avoid the muddy look.
- Satin
I’m ok with matte bronzers but I find satiny ones easier to blend and they look better if you just want to warm your complexion up.
- Long-Lasting
I don’t want my face makeup to move through the day nor I want to touch up too much so I want a bronzer that doesn’t disappear after two seconds.
My Top 5 Bronzer
NARS Laguna Bronzer Powder

- Price: 38$
- Size: 8g
- Shade: Laguna (diffused brown with golden shimmer)
- Shade Range: 4 Shades available in this satiny formula but they also have the same tones completely matte.
- Formula: Powder, sheer, buildable
- Finish: Satin
- Works for contouring: Yes, if you do a subtle one.
- Lasting Power: 8 hours
- Application: Dome shaped brush
- Review: Here you can see a detailed review
My Experience: I’ve gone through 4 of these, both in palettes and in the single pan. It’s safe to say that it’s my favourite bronzer. The tone is perfect to warm the complexion and side note, it looks beautiful on the eyes as well. Like Orgasm, it is a cult for a reason.
Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Bronzer

- Price: 30$
- Size: 8g
- Shade: Hoola (natural bronze)
- Shade Range: 4 shades available
- Formula: Powder, sheer, buildable
- Finish: Matte
- Works for contouring: Yes
- Lasting Power: 8 hours
- Application: Dome shaped brush
My Experience: I love this bronzer, I’m actually almost out of mine and I definitely plan on repurchasing it. I won’t buy the full size though, I’ll definitely go with a palette so I can get more value for money. Like I said for the blush: I hate the box packaging, while is cute, it’s very unpractical and hard to store. Luckily they make palettes with the full size product which makes them more convenient both price wise and for storage. They also have mini sizes of all their blushes/bronzer so you can test them without committing to the full price.
FENTY BEAUTY Butta Biscuit Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer

- Price: 32$
- Size: 6,23g
- Shade: Butta Biscuit (neutral light brown)
- Shade Range: 8 Shades available
- Formula: Cream, sheer, buildable
- Finish: Satin
- Works for contouring: Yes
- Lasting Power: 8 hours
- Application: Tiny dense brush or fingers
- Review: Here you can see a detailed review
My Experience: This cream is so easy to use and it looks very natural on, in hindsight, I should have bought a darker shade but I was scared it would have been too muddy. This is ok on me but it doesn’t show up as much as I want to. But if you are looking for a cream bronzer that looks natural and not muddy at all this is perfect.
Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer

- Price: 15,99$
- Size: 11g
- Shade: Bronzer (neutral light brown)
- Shade Range: 6 Shades available
- Formula: Powder, sheer, buildable
- Finish: Satin
- Works for contouring: Yes
- Lasting Power: 7 hours
- Application: Dome shaped brush
- Review: Here you can see a detailed review
My Experience: Such a cult, this bronzer is amazing both for price and for formula. It never looks cakey or muddy. You get a lot of product for that price. The packaging is a bit bulky but it’s pretty. The only downside is that the powder is very fragile, mine broke and I had to replace it.
theBalm Bahama Mama

- Price: 20$
- Size: 7.8g
- Shade: Bahama Mama (medium brown with golden shimmer)
- Shade Range: 2 Shades available
- Formula: Powder, sheer, buildable
- Finish: Satin
- Works for contouring: Yes
- Lasting Power: 8 hours
- Application: Dome shaped brush
My Experience: Definitely a less obvious choice, but I love this bronzer. Just like the others, the formula is great and easy to use. The price is good and the packaging is adorable. This could be a good dupe for Laguna, it’s just a bit darker and less warm than that.
Final Considerations
At the end of the day, it all goes back to colour preference, I’ve tried to give you my favourite options especially formula wise. Like you don’t have to get Orgasm if you don’t like that shade but Nars’s blushes are amazing whatever shade you choose.
My biggest tip is to BUY THE PALETTES. Even if the shades are smaller (Benefit aren’t) you use such a small amount of product you’ll never run out of it and if you do, at least you’ll know it’s worth it.
Let me know if you have more questions, I can totally help you to find the perfect blush/bronzer for your needs!
And let me know your favourites, I can’t wait to expand my collection too!

I never know what bronzer to buy so I love all your suggestions.
Thank you 💕
This post is very informative about blush and bronzers. I like the fact that you have shown and reviewed several products in a wide variety of price ranges to fit different budgets!
Thank you 💕
Theres a bunch of products in here that I talk about on my blog all the time that it’s probably annoying, but they are so good! I’ve hit major pan on my Nars Laguna sample to the point that chunks are falling out. Definitely need to get more.

Same! My Laguna is looking rough 😂
I definitely want to try the orgasm blush because everyone raves about it! I also want the fenty bronzer! making me spend my coins
Ahahaahh let me know how you like them!
I love TheBalm Oliver bronzer: it’s not orange, matte bronzer good for light skin tones. I was choosing between it and Physician Formula.
As for blushes I recently discovered Kiko Unlimited blushes, I use it almost every day. I used to have a MAC blush (don’t remember the shade), it lasted forever!
I also have Too Faced Natural face: It includes two blushes, two highlighters and two bronzers. One bronzer is very light though even for my pale skin, I only use it in winter.
I was so close to include the TF bronzer but I actually used it up but since I don’t have it anymore I didn’t want to include something like that! I remember really liking both MAC and Kiko blushes but I don’t have any atm
I’ve been looking for a new blush to purchase and I’m so happy I stumbled across your page. Definitely going to check out the Nars range as I’ve heard great things!
They have some great shades
I’m totally with you on the Benefit complexion products – such good quality but the boxes are annoying! They were some of the first blushes I ever tried, and they’ll always have a special place in my heart ❤️. Ah, I neeeeed to try that Fenty cream bronzer so bad! I’ve seen so many people on YouTube apply it and it looks perfect for me. I bet that Dior blush is so beautiful – those cool pinks are so face brightening!
The Dior blush is so unique! Such a stunning glow 😍
I have honestly not tried any of these except the benefit hoola bronzer which I received in a subscription box. I did like it, but I’ll definitely have to look into the blushes & bronzers you recommended!
I’m so surprised that I haven’t tried most of these blushes or bronzers! 😮 Totally agree on NARS Orgasm and Fenty & Physicians Formula bronzers. No bronzer has ever beaten out my love of the Butter Bronzer – literally finished an entire one!!
If I could add some blushes:
– MAC Warm Soul
– Cover FX Monochromatic Blushes (soft peach, especially)
– Glossier Cloud Paints
– KOSAS Cream Blushes
I’ve tried Warm Soul but it’s too warm on me the others I can’t get sadly 😭😭😭 hopefully soon
the hoola and butter bronzer are amazing 😀 i have both LOL
Agree! They are amazing
