Hi Darlings, in today’s post I thought it could be fun to chat about Fall Beauty Trends for 2019.
Ever since I started working at the beauty store, I know that there are always products arriving and looking at the new releases for Fall I’ve seen certain trends that are literally everywhere so I thought we could discuss them in today’s post.
I have to say, this year’s trends are super interesting and I can’t wait to hear what you think. There are a few products that I’m talking about that I have reviews coming for so keep an eye out for them.
(Of course, I’m selecting only a few pieces to show you but If you take a look at the new page on sephora.com you’ll see a lot of versions of these products).
PRESSED EYESHADOW GLITTERS
Chanel, YSL (I’ve reviewed two shades here), Marc Jacobs (I have reviewed one last Winter) are all coming out with some sort of pressed glitter. I feel like these kinds of products have come a long way. They don’t have as much fall out as they used to have and they last a long time.
I have to say, I’m quite a fan of this trend, I love to use these kinds of products to create a simple everyday look that still has some impact.
I feel like we are going to see olive everywhere this season. Both the Urban Decay Naked Honey and with the Smashbox Desert Covershot Palette (here my review) have amazing olive-gold shades.
This is not a colour I usually love on me, but as you can see I did an amazing look for yesterday’s #MakeupMonday with the Smashbox one that I felt so good in it.
Full Coverage Foundations
OMG, I feel like every single brand (Urban Decay, Kat Von D, Smashbox, Anastasia, Pat McGrath, Charlotte Tilbury, Fenty Beauty and I can go on) on the market is coming out with a weightless full coverage foundation. I’ve selected four but LITERALLY everyone is coming out with one.
I’ve only tested the Smashbox one (review coming tomorrow) but I know myself and I know I absolutely hate full coverage products so this trend doesn’t excite me at all.
If we take a look at the shade range of new lipstick releases from Dior and Lancome we see that the colours are mostly reds, any kind of red: warm, cool, light, dark which is definitely a bit of a change from the usual burgundy.
Personally, I like burgundy shades better for Fall, so I’ll stick to those, but I love a good red when we get closer to Christmas.
Graphic Colored Eyeliner
I’ve seen this trend with popping with the new L’Oreal Matte Signature Eyeliners, they came out with a bunch of shades (I’m reviewing a few next week).
I have to say, I love the trend. It’s a fun way to play with makeup without having to play with eyeshadows.
And that’s it for the trends, what do you think? What’s your favourite out of them?
